These pictures are from the tallest tower in Sydney. This is the end of the trip if you want to start from the begging of the trip press Travel on the left side of the screen.
The first picture I took with the nighttime setting. the picture is of a carnival next to the harbor. I was in a boat when I took these pictures. The other two are of the Oprah House and the Harbor Bridge.
THe frist picture is inside the biggest ofthe five theators in the Sydney Opra House. they have had many famous people in that theater watching and on the stage. the next picture is of the Opra House and the Sydney Harbor Bridge.
camels are not native to austrlia. They settlers brought them to the outback because they lasted a lot longer than horses in the dessert, also they eat and drank less. after they were done exproling Austrlia they just let them go in the wild. Now there are estimated over 50,000 in the wild.
The second picture is of a lizard that bobs his head up and down a lot. it was funny watching them bob their heads. the third picture is of the largest lizard in Austrlia. the last picture is of a thorny devil. They stand very still. they do this so they can catch ants. they also let out this smell that makes the ants think the thorny devil is a plat. so they clime up the thorny devil. the devil is very fast at moving its head.
The first two pictures are of the bottom of the canyon. the watering hole was gigantic I took five pictures just to get it all. the others are of the canton and around it. the canyon was formed by an earthquake that split a very hard rock layer. so the crack became bigger and bigger. it filled with water which made the erosion faster.
The first picture is of fossils of fish millions of years ago.the second is of a gum tree. The tree glows at night. if you rub your hand on it long enough then your hand will glow too. The sky was very blue that day. the last picture is of the trail. We were not in the canyon yet.
the first picture was taken from where I took the Ularu pictures. that shows you how close they are. the Olga's and Ularu where made during a earthquake. the land lifted at a 60 angle. since then they have both eroded. I am surpised I did not hear of the Olga's before. I liked them a lot better Ularu. these pictures were taken wile we were hiking inbetween the gaint rocks.
The black line you see on the rock is from minerals from the water sticking to the rock.these are rock paintings from Aborigines. the oldest one they have dated is 20,000 years old. There are probably even older ones. this is because the Aborigines wrote over other paintings. So there are many layers of paintings. the watering hole you see is the biggest next or near Ularu. this is also about how big it gets. It had rained in the central part of the outback 2 days ago. it only rains once a year most of the time.
This is too show how different the coastal region is, to the outback. The sand is red because it has rusted. That shows how old the sand is. The white lakes is relay salt that has been left there when the Ocean left the outback.
These stream is a very old stream. our guide said it was thousands of years old. it has not eroded much the sides because there is a rock plate under the stream. Also the jungle is the oldest in the world. it has not changed over 20 thousand years. most important our group got to swim in the freazzzzzing cold water
These are pictures of the rain forest north of Carin's. Half of the rain forest is saltwater based and the other half fresh water based. so it has many different types of plants and animals.
These pictures are of Camp Tribulation. Camp Tribulation is a coastal area north of Cairns that is all rain forest and beach. The pictures of the trees are on the beach
